April 2026 Meeting Summary
Town Trust elections took place on the 30th of March 2026.
A new trustee, Paul Botsford was elected to join Axbridge Town Trust at a meeting in the Church Rooms. Subsequently, Grahame Paine, was re-elected as a representative trustee, and Mike Anderson was re-elected as a co-opted trustee. See a list of Axbridge Town Trust trustees here.
Matters discussed at the meeting included:
- A copy of The Town Trusts founding document has been published on this website.
- New planters, made by our Chairman, Tim Chard, are now in place around the square.
- The Town Trust is grateful for a contribution from Axbridge Parochial Charities, towards a new chess table, that will be located in the square.
- There are new Hire Rates for 2027, along with an improved booking form.
- Quotes are still being sought for maintenance work to the roof of the town hall, and various required carpentry work.
Town Trust 150 Club – the fourth draw of 2025/26 took place. Thank you to everyone who has signed up to support this fundraising club. It raises much needed funds for the maintenance and enhancement of the Town Hall and Axbridge Town Square.
