December 2024 Meeting Summary
Matters discussed included:
- Avon & Somerset constabulary will be holding a beat surgery in the Town Hall on the 3rd of January.
- New cycle racks have been ordered for Axbridge Square to both improve the appearance, and also provide more cycle storage space.
- A lighter weight bar counter flap has been fitted – to respond to health and safety concerns.
- Work is planned to repoint and repair the wall adjoining the memorial garden near the Church.
- The Rotary Foundation has kindly begun work to replant the war memorial garden.
- One of the standing clocks in the town hall will be repaired in the new year.
Town Trust 150 Club – the second draw of 2024/25 took place. Thank you to everyone who has joined to support this fundraising club. It raises much need funds to support the Town Hall and Axbridge Town Square.
To celebrate Christmas an additional two £50 prizes were drawn. Hope you were a lucky winner and seasonal wishes from Axbridge town trust!
